This week has been super good but sooo long! Christmas seems like forever ago, time never really makes sense on the mission.
This last week we have done a ton of biking, probably more than I have done in the last 8-9 months, which was a battle but also really fun. We were slammed on miles because of all the Jax trips we had to make and so we were pretty much full bike in our proselyting.
We had a ton of appointments fall through this week, by the end of it we were almost expecting it haha, but as a result we found some really solid new investigators that we are excited to work with.
Our investigators Katie and Barbara are both progressing really well. Barbara is starting to live the word of wisdom even though we haven't taught it yet. We had a really great lesson with her and our branch president this week and she seems really set to prepare for baptism. Oh my goodness hahaha she made us leave on the most awkward note though... President Law gave her a hug as we were leaving and he said "Now I can do that because I'm the branch president, but these elders can't" and out of the blue Barbara says and she points at me "What he didn't tell you about how he pinched my butt the last time he was here?" Hahaha like WHAT. THE. HECK. Hahah Elder Beenfield was dying and fortunately President Law played along and it really wasn't too bad but its just really weird when your 60 year old investigator makes a comment like that to your branch president!!
New Years was pretty relaxed for us. People in White Springs aren't really into the big raves and party scenes and we had to be in early so it was pretty much just a normal day for us. On New Years day we had a "traditional" new years southern meal, which consists of black eyed peas, greens, and rice. We were also treated with some fried ribs which is apparently a thing. It was pretty good though, classic southern food.
Hmm that's really all I can think to share today, stay real!
